Since 1999 Papalote has been serving our community, offering our neighbors quality, authenticity, and consistency.
We prepare and present authentic Mission District fare, and we pay meticulous attention to every ingredient that goes into our dishes. Our grilled meats are grilled fresh and served immediately, never prepared ahead of time, or refrigerated and then reconstituted. From grill to tortilla, whether you're having a burrito, a taco, or a quesadilla, you'll thoroughly enjoy the unique flavor of freshly grilled vegetables and meats, as well as delicately sautéed seafood offerings and succulent vegan and vegetarian options.
It's a pleasure to serve you and continue the culinary tradition my Grand-Aunt Celia started here in San Francisco in the mid 60's.

Founded in 1999 in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District.
Inspired by the sights, sounds and flavors of the Mission, Papalote has been offering outstanding burritos with the freshest ingredients and of the highest quality available since we opened our doors on March 17th of 1999.
From grill to tortilla, our chicken and steak are grilled to perfection, and they are the foundation of the Papalote concept. Our achiote marinated chicken breast and our lightly seasoned carne asada are delightfully complemented by our unique Roasted Tomato Papalote House Salsa--a silky blend of roasted tomatoes, fresh onions, whole garlic, and robust red dry chiles.
